Touchstone S-parameter viewer

Open an S1P or S2P file to inspect magnitude, phase and reflection on a Smith chart. File processing stays in your browser.

What is in a Touchstone file?

S1P contains one port’s S11. S2P contains S11, S21, S12 and S22 at each frequency, in that order. The reference impedance defines how those wave ratios relate to port impedance; it is not a component value.

Use an explicit option line, for example # Hz S RI R 50, with one positive real reference impedance. The extension declares the port count. Comments and wrapped records are supported, but each frequency record must start on a new line. Touchstone v2, mixed-mode data, per-port or complex reference impedances, and noise sections are not supported.

Use the Smith calculator for a single load, or explore circuit simulation in Tersa. The iPhone app and Web CAD open separately; this viewer does not transfer your file to them.
