The base Voltage source and Current source components provide a constant value and AC magnitude. Specialized variants select a waveform in advance:

Voltage-source polarity follows the + and - pins. The current-source arrow shows the positive current direction.
Controlled sources have two output pins and two control pins:
- VCVS — voltage-controlled voltage source; parameter Gain.
- VCCS — voltage-controlled current source; parameter Transconductance.
- CCVS — current-controlled voltage source; parameter Transresistance.
- CCCS — current-controlled current source; parameter Gain.
Pins C+ and C- belong to the control branch. Verify their order and the presence of a reference node before analysis.
- For DC transfer, choose a DC source and configure a sweep in Analysis Setup.
- For AC, set AC magnitude, commonly to
1, so the plot directly represents the transfer function. - For transient analysis, choose Sine, Pulse, PWL, or EXP and set the analysis time range.
- For Harmonic Balance, use a periodic source and match its fundamental frequency to Analysis Setup.
